Abrasive Waterjet Cutting

Cold-cutting precision, beyond the limits of heat

A high-pressure stream of water and abrasive that slices virtually any material with no heat-affected zone — preserving strength, finish and dimensional accuracy.

The Technology

Cold cutting with zero heat distortion

Abrasive waterjet cutting forces water through an orifice at up to 60,000 PSI, mixing it with garnet abrasive to erode material along a precise path. Because there is no thermal input, the process leaves no heat-affected zone, no warping and no hardened edges.

  • No Heat-Affected Zone — material properties stay intact
  • Precision cutting of intricate profiles and fine detail
  • High thickness capability across hard and soft materials
  • Clean, burr-minimised edges often needing no finishing

Why Waterjet

The advantages that matter

01

No Thermal Damage

Cold process keeps metallurgical properties and avoids warping.

02

Material Freedom

Cut metal, stone, glass, composite and rubber on one machine.

03

Intricate Profiles

Tight internal corners and fine detail with a narrow kerf.

04

Thick Sections

Cut substantial thicknesses that challenge other processes.

05

Minimal Waste

Narrow kerf and tight nesting conserve expensive material.

06

Clean Edges

Smooth, near-finished edges reduce secondary operations.
